THOMAS L. GEISEL FUNERAL HOME

A Word About Funeral Costs:

Aren't funerals very expensive? Well, yes, they can be. But they don't have to be. Indeed, funerals are a major purchase when compared with our normal day-to-day expenses. We understand that. And when a death comes unexpected, it adds a tremendous secondary stress to an already difficult situation. But asking what a funeral costs is like asking how much a wedding costs, or a new car. How elaborate do we want to be?

Although we do not attempt to distinguish ourselves by price, you'll find that our fees are very competitive. Often when families inquire about funeral costs, they typically are just looking for a ballpark figure for an "average funeral" or an "average cremation." The problem is that it's difficult to determine what makes up an average service. One word we often hear is "simple." But that can mean elegant yet simple, or simple and cheap, and anything in between.

Families who make funeral arrangements face an average of 70 decisions throughout the entire process. That's a lot of decisions to make on a normal day, let alone with the added stress of a death in the family. Many of these choices factor into the total cost of our service. Some of the major decisions that dictate a family's costs are:

- Type of service we're planning
- Merchandise (Casket, Urn, Vault, Stationary, Flowers, etc.)
- Related expenses (Cemetery Fees, Newspaper Notices, Death Certificates, etc.)

Every service we plan is a little different. Please feel welcome to give us a call so that we can customize a quote for exactly what you'd like us to do. We are happy to make an appointment to meet you here, or in the comfort of your own home. You're under no obligation.
