Charles E. Isenberger, Sr., age 64, of Chambersburg, PA, died unexpectedly in his home on Tuesday, February 23, 2010. Born November 4, 1945 in Chambersburg, he was the son of the late Charles and Elizabeth Isenberger.
Mr. Isenberger was a 1966 graduate of Chambersburg Area Senior High School. After 35 years of service as a machinist at Chambersburg Engineering Company he retired in 2001. In 2003 he started working at Schaad's Security, were he was currently employed. He was a member of the AMVETS Post 224 in Chambersburg. His interests were his Corvettes, his Steelers Football, and his grandchildren.
Mr. Isenberger is survived by his children: Charles E. Isenberger, Jr., Tammy Gelsinger, and Nicole Shearer; eight grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Charles L. Myers.
The family will receive friends in the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA on Saturday, February 27, 2010 from 6-8 PM. A private service and interment will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society, Franklin and Fulton Unit, 384 Floral Ave., Chambersburg, PA 17201.
