Patricia "Patti" J. Hill, 56, of Shippensburg, PA, died Tuesday, November 18, 2008 in the emergency room of Chambersburg Hospital after a brief battle with cancer. Born March 25, 1952 in Hyattsville, MD, she was a daughter of Michael M. Cipolla of Louisville, KY and the late May G. Cox Cipolla of Warwickshire, England. Patti was a 1970 graduate of the Chambersburg Area Senior High School and attended Shippensburg University. She at one time was employed at the Holiday Inn and was currently employed as the Human Resources Director with Servicemaster, Inc., both in Chambersburg. Patti worked for a number of years as a tutor with the Chambersburg Area School District and was an active volunteer with the Franklin County 4-H Therapeutic Riding Center. She loved animals and enjoyed reading, horseback riding, knitting, and bird watching.

In addition to her father, she is survived by two daughters, Aimee Lee Hill of Hagerstown, MD and Jennifer Lynne Hill of Baltimore, MD; two grandchildren, Kiara Muriel May Branche and Kai Christian Branche; a sister, Carol Clark and husband Ray "Butch" of Scotland, PA; and two brothers, Michael D. Cipolla and partner Bill, Martin J. Cipolla and wife Pat, all of Texas. She is also survived by four nieces and nephews, Steven Clark of West Virginia, Debra Clark of Frederick, MD, Nicola Pismeny of Virginia, and Suzanne Lizak of Texas.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, November 21, 2008 in the Chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. Rev. Lonnie Shover will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 PM Friday in the funeral home. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in memory of Patti be made to the Franklin County 4-H Therapeutic Riding Center, Attn: Mr. Robert Kessler, 181 Franklin Farm Lane, Chambersburg, PA 17202.
