Although they are not licensed funeral directors, these staff members are vitally important to the operation of our firm. These individuals make it possible for us to professionally coordinate funerals with the quality of service our community has come to expect from us.
| Jere Perry, Jr., Resident Intern Email: jere@geiselfuneralhome.com A Franklin County native, Jere was raised near Fayetteville. A 1985 graduate of Chambersburg Area Senior High School, he is a graduate of Strayer University and Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. Jere has been serving families since choosing his career path in July 1997. He is the firm's aftercare coordinator. He is a licensed insurance agent in the states of Pennsylvania and Maryland and a resident Funeral Intern in Pennsylvania. He is a Past President of Lurgan Township Lions. Jere served on the Board of Directors for the Scotland Youth Baseball League, having served as Vice-President of Baseball for three years. He has coached baseball within the Scotland organization for the past ten years. Jere is in his third term as President of the Scotland Broncos Youth Football Organization, where he also coached for five years. He is a proponent for Stand for the Silent, an anti-bullying campaign and he is an advocate for adults understanding childhood and teenage depression. Jere resides in Orrstown, with his wife Tara, their two children Skyler and Briley, their cat Miki, their Golden Retriever Yeller, and their Puggle, Macie. Contact |
| Sharon Jacobs, Advance Funeral Planner Email: sjacobs@geiselfuneralhome.com Having lived in Chambersburg and growing up in Greencastle, Sharon considers this area her home. She comes to us with seven years of working in the death care industry and serving families from the surrounding areas. Management and bookwork seemed to comprise her life after receiving her Business degree, but it wasn’t a difficult transition when she made the move to working directly with families. She unquestionably found her passion in educating and informing families of the importance of advance planning. A member of the Chambersburg Brethren in Christ Church, a past member of the Lions Club, member of and committees member of Chambersburg Chamber of Commerce, a former Cheerleading Coach for Scotland School for Veterans, Manager of two semi pro football teams, previous board member and cheerleading coach of Chambersburg Steelers, she has spent the last 25 years in pursuit of her daughters and being active in the community. Sharon resides in Chambersburg with her husband Shawn and their two daughters Danielle and Caitlyn. Her hobbies include spending time with her family, at the beach, boating and the Baltimore Ravens. |
