William P. Williams, 73, formerly of 102 Springwood Avenue, St. Thomas, PA, died at 12:30 PM Tuesday, November 18, 2008 in Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born September 27, 1935 in Blairs Mills, PA, he was a son of the late Irvin T. and Mary E. Smith Williams. He served in the US Air Force and was employed at Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg as an Artillery Repairman, retiring after twenty-eight years of service. William was a member of West Side Brethren In Christ Church near Chambersburg. He enjoyed spending time at church and at the Senior Center in Ft. Loudon, and visiting with his family.
He is survived by a step-daughter, Beth Bickle of East Waterford; three step-grandchildren; four brothers, Richard and wife Verna of East Waterford, Thomas and wife Sharon of Three Springs, Eugene and wife Miki of Lewistown, and Irvin and wife Cris of Scotland; and two sisters, Ruth Snyder and husband Bill of Hanover and Martha Yohn and husband Charles of Blairs Mills. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carole J. McClure Williams in 1988 and a daughter, Donna Sue Williams in 1964.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, November 21, 2008 in Agett-Geisel Funeral Home, 18875 Main Street, Dry Run, PA. Pastor James Sollenberger will officiate. Interment will follow in Upper Path Valley Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 PM Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday in the funeral home.
