Vernon Dwight "Joe" Doell, 57, of Fayetteville, Pa died Friday, August 20th, 2010 at 11:06 am at home, after a lengthy illness. Born in Johnstown, PA on July 31, 1953; he was the son of the late Ralph V. and Ilene (Sherbine) Doell.
He worked many years as a meat cutter, and was last employed by Giant Foods on Wayne Ave. Chambersburg, Pa. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Connie (Myers) Doell. His daughter Alicia Shockey, (husband Jesse Shockey) of Chambersburg, Pa, son, Travis A. Doell of Fayetteville, PA and son, Trevor M. Doell (and companion Tara Holesa) of Chambersburg, PA. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Hayley, Corrine, Travis Jr. and Corbin; a sister Debbie Doell of Coolidge, AZ; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Shelby Snyder of Johnstown, PA.
Services and interment will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA.
