Robert Charles Kalinich, age 72, of Shippensburg, PA; passed away in the Chambersburg Hospital on Sunday, August 29, 2010. Born May 5, 1938 in Pottsville, PA, he was the son of the late Michael and Martha Mae Marshall Kalinich.
Bob worked as a field service engineer for Atlas Pacific Engineering for 25 years; during his career he was able to design a patent a Dry Feed System, which is still in use today; after retiring his entrepreneurial spirit continued as he became owner and operator of K Enterprises Auto Sales and Service in Fayetteville, PA.
Surviving are his wife of 22 years, Margaret Jane McLucas Kalinich, whom he married February 21, 1988; his children, Michael Kalinich (fiancé Amy) of Mt. Holly Springs, PA and Daniel Kalinich (Deanna) of Chambersburg, PA; his step children, David Gipe (wife Amy) of Chambersburg, PA; Sean Gipe (wife Roxanne) of Williamsport, MD; and Melissa Izer (husband Shane) of Greencastle, PA; one grandson, Rayce Robert Curtis Kalinich; eleven step grandchildren; one step great grandchild; and sister, Diana Ochsner of Union City, CA.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 4, 2010 at 2 PM at the Chapel at Menno Haven, 2075 Scotland Ave., Chambersburg, PA 17201; where Chaplain Bob Keener will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter2325 Country Rd., Chambersburg, PA 17202 or the Fayetteville Volunteer Fire Department, 101 West Main St., Fayetteville, PA 17222. |
