  • Did you know that all pre-arrangements are transferable?  If you're having second thoughts about where you've pre-planned, just call us and we can help!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------More More Pre-planning News!  As of November 12, we're proud to say we've reached a milestone in our pre-arrangement program!

With over 600 pre-arrangements completed since the beginning of 2013, we think you'll agree with so many others that it's a good idea.  Thank you to so many families who have placed their trust in us.
Why preplan with us?
If you like the peace of mind you get from insurance, you'll understand why it makes sense to preplan with us.  We know of no other funeral home's policies that work as hard to do all this:
  • Spares your family from making detailed decisions at an emotional time
  • Ensures that your wishes are carried out
  • Prevents overspending and can lock in costs

We're experts at preplanning, and know all of the issues that may arise.  Call us.  You'll be glad you did.

We at Geisel Funeral Home recognize that our primary role as a funeral home is to take care of families in need of our services.  But we also place great importance in getting behind causes that we feel strongly about.  You may have seen some of our public service announcements addressing our concerns with texting and driving.  If so, we hope it had a meaningful impact on your own viewpoint.  There's no question; texting and driving has become a real epidemic. So please join us by speaking out against texting and driving, and help make our community a safer one.

  • Sending or receiving a text takes a driver's eyes from the road for an average of 4.6 seconds, the equivalent-at 55 mph-of driving the length of an entire football field, blind(VTTI)
  • For drivers 15-19 years old involved in fatal crashes, 21 percent of the distracted drivers were distracted by the use of cell phones (NHTSA)
  • The number of people killed in distraction-affected crashes decreased slightly from 3,360 in 2011 to 3,328 in 2012. An estimated 421,000 people were injured in motor vehicle crashes involving a distracted driver, this was a nine percent increase from the estimated 387,000 people injured in 2011.
  • Engaging in visual-manual subtasks (such as reaching for a phone, dialing and texting) associated with the use of hand-held phones and other portable devices increased the risk of getting into a crash by three times. (VTTI)
