Ashley R. Farner

Ashley R. Farner, 38, of Lewistown, PA, passed away Thursday, August 21, 2025, in the Gesinger Lewistown Hospital. Born March 8, 1987, in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of Terry L. Farner and the late Sandy Akers.

She was a graduate of Smithsburg High School, MD, with the Class of 2004. Ashley went on to attend Award Beauty School. She was employed as a retail manager throughout her career at various businesses, including Marshalls, Zumiez, and the Shoe Department. Ashley enjoyed spending time with her family more than anything else; even if she didn’t always wear it, her family was her real passion.

In addition to her father, she is survived by three sons, Damian and Ezekial Mongan and their father, Josh Mongan of Hagerstown and Dillinger Myers and his father Dustin Myers of Mercersburg, PA; fiancé, Justin Goss of Lewistown, PA; grandmother, Sharon Farner; two brothers Milton Dorr and Nathan Malloy; uncle, Jeff Farner and aunt, Sonja Akers. In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Jim and Doris Akers and paternal grandfather, Charles Farner.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, September 19, 2025, at Grand Point Church, 2230 Grand Point Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202 with Pastor Scott Despres officiating. To honor Ashley because she loved traveling to the beach, everyone is invited to wear appropriate summer beach-theme attire or invited to wear her favorite color purple. Arrangements are by Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg.
