B. Pauline Plasterer

July 7, 1928 — July 27, 2023

B. Pauline Glessner Plasterer, formerly of Chambersburg, passed suddenly on the evening of July 27, 2023 at the age of 95. She was born at home on July 7, 1928 in Franklin County, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Merle Kauffman and Ora Grace Sleighter Glessner. She attended the Good Intent School in Letterkenny Township, the Culbertson School in Culbertson, Stoufferstown School in Stoufferstown and was a member of the Chambersburg High School class of 1949. Her family moved from Letterkenny in April 1942 because of the new Letterkenny Ordinance Depot.

She first worked for the Shirt Factory in Chambersburg which then moved to Shippensburg. She worked at Plasterer's Florist in the growing department of the business as the seed planter for the many annuals they produced from 1958 until her retirement. She married Lowell Brake Plasterer on May 5, 1957 at First Lutheran Church in Chambersburg.

Pauline is survived by two daughters, Bonnie Glessner Huber (husband John) of Chambersburg and Connie Plasterer Harris of Cape Coral, Florida. Pauline is survived by five grandchildren, Michael Harris, Tara Easterberg, Erin Deneau, Douglass Huber and Devyn Jones. She is also survived by six great grandchildren, Skylar, Bailey, Ayden, Kiah, Noah and Eva, and two step grandchildren Richard and Alexandra, plus a great-great granddaughter Emma. The five generations recently were together for a five generation photograph.

She was predeceased by her husband, a grandson Christopher Huber, and her brothers Kenneth Emanuel Glessner and Raymond Latrobe Glessner.

Pauline's interests during her life included planting and tending her flower beds, camping with the pop-up trailer, taking car drives, walking mountain trails, biking on the C&O Canal and sewing. For many summers she enjoyed vacationing at North Myrtle Beach. In her later years she enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles, Sudoku puzzles and Word Searches. A few years after Lowell passed in October 2008, she decided to live with her daughters. She became a "snow bird" living the winter months in Florida and the summer months in Pennsylvania.
