Barbara A. Timbrook

Barbara A. Timbrook, 90, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 19, 2026,  in Chambersburg.

Born May 13, 1936, in Chambersburg, PA,  she was the daughter of the late James and Leona Barnes.

Barbara was a graduate of Gettysburg High School. She enjoyed music, sewing, painting, and crossword puzzles, but her greatest joy in life was raising her family and spending time with those she loved. She especially cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, always making time to read books with them, play ping pong, or shoot baskets. Her love, patience, and devotion created treasured memories that will live on in their hearts. Barbara was a faithful member of Chambersburg Bible Church.

She is survived by her loving son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Lisa Timbrook of Chambersburg; devoted grandchildren Ashley Tkacik (Justin) of Chambersburg, Kylee Group (Skylar) of Chambersburg, and Jordan Freed and Brooke Freed, both of Florida; cherished great-grandchildren Brody Houser, Titan Group, Teegan Group, Eva Tkacik, and Sofia Tkacik; as well as several nieces and a nephew.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her beloved husband Harry Timbrook; daughter Pamela Freed, and her sister, Phyllis McGough.

Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at 2:00 PM on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at Norland Cemetery, 2295 Philadelphia Avenue, Chambersburg, PA 17201.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg.
