Barbara M. Vaughan

Barbara M. Vaughan, 89, of Chambersburg, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at Mercy House of Chambersburg.

Born in Mount Union, Pennsylvania, on August 12, 1936, just days shy of her 90th birthday; she was the beloved daughter of the late William and Nellie (McMullen) Horne.

Barbara was employed locally as a clothing inspector for several years. Her greatest joy in life was the time she spent with her family and those she loved. She treasured the memories they created together, and those memories will continue to be cherished by all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Bonnie Stellfox (Russell) of Summerfield, NC, Donna Stremmel of Hanover, PA, and Rose Ann Yohn (Tim) of Chambersburg, PA; her grandchildren, Matthew Yohn (Sabrina) of Charlestown, WV, and Joshua Yohn of Chambersburg, PA; and her great-grandson, Ryley Yohn of Mechanicsburg, PA.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack T. Vaughan, and her many siblings.

In accordance with Barbara's wishes, there will be no public visitation. Interment will be held privately at Parklawns Memorial Gardens, where she will be laid to rest beside her husband.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA.
