Bernadette G. Brandt

Bernadette G. Brandt, 84, of Chambersburg, PA passed away peacefully Thursday, January 22, 2026 in Magnolias of Chambersburg. Born August 28, 1941 in Baltimore, MD she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Helen (Tyburski) Strzegowski.

She was a graduate of Catholic High School of Baltimore. In her younger years Bernadette was employed for the B&O Railroad in Baltimore. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. Bernadette was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church where she helped on the bereavement committee. She enjoyed crafting and traveling and going on cruises with her husband.

She is survived by two daughters, Cynthia Woodruff and her husband Clifford of Frederick, MD and Tracey Brandt-Gower and her husband John of Chambersburg; three grandchildren, Collin of Baltimore, MD, Heather of Charlotte, NC, and Logan Woodruff of Largo, FL; three nieces and a nephew. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Brandt who passed away December 2, 2020 and a sister, Geraldine Jedlicka.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, February 6, 2026, in Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 320 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg, PA 17201. Burial will follow in Corpus Christi Cemetery, Chambersburg.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM Thursday, February 5, 2026 in the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202 as well as one hour prior to the service Friday morning in the church narthex.
