Betty J. Clugston

Betty J. Clugston, 86, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at Shippensburg Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. Born December 12, 1939, in Chambersburg, she was a daughter of the late Lloyd K. and Floe Trace Robinson.

Betty was a 1957 graduate of CASHS. She was employed as a seamstress at the Stanley Co. in Chambersburg and spent many years making a home for her family. Later in life she worked as a cook at Menno Haven. In her free time, Betty enjoyed embroidery, sewing, cooking, canning and reading.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 67 years, Orville E. Clugston, whom she married on March 28, 1959; two children, Michael Clugston (wife Carol) of St. Thomas, and Patricia Clugston (Gary Verno, Jr.) of Chambersburg; one granddaughter, Brittney Clugston (Quentin Rowe); one great granddaughter, Mahelia Rowe; and two sisters, Nancy Johnson (husband Leroy) of OH; and Peggy Melius (husband Ronald) of Chambersburg. Aside from her parents, Betty was preceded in death by four siblings, Donald Ray Robinson, Delores Swanger, George Robinson, and Sarah Gochenauer.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 23, 2026, in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202. Rev. Dr. A.
