Betty Jane Kissner

Betty Jane (Wentzel) Kissner, 91, of Fayetteville, PA passed away Saturday, December 13, 2025 in Mercy House of Chambersburg. Born July 15, 1934 in Chambersburg she was the daughter of the late Robert and Madeline (Bishop) Wentzel.

She was a graduate of the Chambersburg High School with the Class of 1952. Betty was primarily a homemaker taking care of her home and family, but she was also employed at the Stanley Company, Chambersburg, PA for a number of years. Betty was a member and Past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Stars Martha Custis Chapter 342. She enjoyed arranging flowers and spending time in the green house.

Betty is survived by three sons, Steven G.K. and wife Sherry of Elizabethtown, Thomas A. and wife Teri of Smithsburg, MD, and Jeffrey L. and wife Jodi of Clear Spring, MD; seven grandchildren, Renee Kelly (Will LaFond), Brandi Simon, Josephpaul Kissner (Saundra), Jessirae Jenkins (Evan), Sterling Kissner, Collin Kissner, and Katie Kissner; five great-grandchildren, Kelby Taylor, Blake Taylor, Corbin Kelly, Landon Simon, and Braydon Simon. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” Kissner who passed away December 29, 2005, a daughter, Kim Kissner who passed away January 8, 2025, and a brother, Robert Wentzel.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg, PA.
