Betty Louise B. Kuhn, 88, of Chambersburg, PA and formerly of Greencastle, PA passed away Friday, August 22, 2025, in Chambers Pointe. Born April 2, 1937 in Greencastle, she was the daughter of the late Wesley and Leona (Mowen) Bingaman.
Betty was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, dedicating her life to her family. She was a member of Ebenezer United Brethren Church as well as the VFW Post 6319 and American Legion Post 373, all in Greencastle. Betty was an avid bowler, participating in many leagues in the area. She also enjoyed playing bingo and tending to her flowers.
She is survived by five children, Sharon “Sherry” Ramer of Chambersburg, Leonard “Ikie” Kuhn, Jr. and his wife Sue of Boiling Spring Lake, NC, Kim Freshman of Greencastle, Stefan Kuhn and his fiancé Doris of Stuarts Draft, VA, and Chris Kuhn and his wife Amy of Greencastle; grandchildren, Eric Kuhn, Doug Ramer, Erin Bennani, Bradley, Ryan and Krista Freshman, Ethan Jacobson, Roxana Atkinson, Taru Murphy, Tosha Musselman, Wes, Gage and Lee Kuhn; great-grandchildren, Jalil and Yaseer Bennani, Brayden Stoner, Kolsyn Freshman, Christian Musselman, Danica Murphy, Jacqueline Atkinson, Aurora Walling, Aria Richmond and Peyton Liebrand; two sisters, Sarah Hykes and her husband Glenn and Erma Foley both of Greencastle; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard L. Kuhn, Sr., who passed away July 4, 2011; four sisters, Ruth Carbaugh, Dorothy Jackson, Tillie Oberholzer, and Rose Davis; three brothers, Edward Bingaman, Chester Bingaman, and Kenneth Bingaman; two sons-in-law, Jake Ramer and Rick Freshman; and an infant great-granddaughter McKenzie Freshman.
Services will be held 1:00 PM, Thursday, August 28, 2025, in the Chapel of the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202 with Chaplain Ed Rabenstein officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Thursday afternoon in the funeral home.
