Bonita Angle

Bonita A. (Danfelt) Angle, 90, of Chambersburg, died on December 16, 2022, in the Menno Haven Chambers Pointe Community. Born on September 2, 1932, in Waynesboro, she was a daughter of the late Sidney B. and Katherine (Kitty) Danfelt, and a sister of the late Barry Danfelt and Kenny Danfelt.

A 1951 graduate of Chambersburg High School, Bonnie worked at and retired from Letterkenny Army Depot (AMC Depot Maintenance Control Center) where she received numerous awards for outstanding performance. She and her late husband Joseph W. “Booty” Angle were members of the BPO Elks Lodge 600, Burt J. Asper American Legion Post 46, Hume McNeil Byers AmVets Post 224, and the Charles Nitterhouse VFW Post 1599.

Bonnie and Booty enjoyed bowling and played in many leagues over the years. They were both avid golfers and took annual trips to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, with friends.

Bonnie is survived by four children, Vicki Cooper of Katy, TX, Robin Angle of Chambersburg, Joseph W. Angle Jr. and wife Mary of Fenwick Island, DE, and Tracy Snoke and husband David of Chambersburg; her sister Carla (Danfelt) Boyer and husband Steve; five grandchildren, William, Margaret, David, Corey, and Ashley; and five great-grandchildren, Samantha, Luke, Olivia, Liam, and Kingston.

A private celebration of life will be held by the family. Arrangements are by the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter, 5051 Letterkenny Road West Chambersburg, PA 17201. Online condolences may be expressed at geiselfuneralhome.com.
