Bonnie L. Kriner

Bonnie L. Kriner, 79, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away Thursday, May 1, 2025 in the Chambersburg Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born January 16, 1946, in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late George W. and Thelma G. (Schuchman) Carey.

She was a graduate of Shippensburg High School with the Class of 1964. Bonnie was employed for a number of years as a grinder for the Reeves-Hoffman Company, Carlisle, PA. She was later employed in housekeeping for the Franklin County Courthouse, Chambersburg up until her retirement.

She was a member of Mount Vernon Christian and Missionary Alliance. Bonnie enjoyed reading, working puzzle books, putting together puzzles, and especially taking care of her flowers.

Bonnie is survived by her husband of 24 years, Richard R. Kriner, who she married April 20, 2001; four children, Larry D. Short, Jr. of Chambersburg, Pamela A. Neidigh (Robert) of Blain, PA, Kimberly Caldwell of Waynesboro, PA, and Michael R. Kriner (Tammy) of Chambersburg; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who she loved dearly; four siblings, Charles Carey of Orrstown, PA, Judy Yohe of Shippensburg, PA, Richard Carey of Shippensburg, PA, and Geary Carey of Chambersburg; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Bradley B. Kriner and a brother, George “Twerp” Carey.

Services will be held 10:00 AM, Monday, May 5, 2025 in the Chapel of the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202 with her son-in-law, Dr. Robert O. Neidigh officiating. Burial will follow in Norland Cemetery, Chambersburg.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Sunday evening, May 4, 2025, as well as one hour prior to the service Monday morning in the funeral home.
