Brett Rideout

Brett C. Rideout, age 52, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Friday, October 6, 2023, at his home. Born in Chambersburg, PA on May 2, 1971, he was the son of Samuel “T-Bone” Rideout and the late Betty S. Spoonhour Rideout.

Mr. Rideout was a 1989 graduate of CASHS. In his younger years he did telemarketing. He attended Brownsville Church of God. Brett enjoyed playing games, board games, and all types of gambling; earning him the nickname “Gambla”.

In addition to his father he is survived by a sister, Renee Rideout (Shannon Miley) of Chambersburg, PA; three children, Kevyn T. Rideout of Chambersburg, PA, Courtney McDowell of Chambersburg, PA, and Alexander Rideout of WV; and an Aunt, Sharon Rideout of Chambersburg, PA.

A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at 3 PM at the Brownsville Church of God, Chambersburg, PA, where Pastor Victor Johnson will officiate. A repass will be held following the celebration of life service from 4:30 PM until 9:00 PM in the Knights of Columbus, 336 E Garfield St, Chambersburg, PA 17201. If desired, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Betty E. Rideout Scholarship at Brownsville Church of God.
