Carmine “Sonny” Balbo, 95, of Chambersburg, PA, died Saturday evening, February 18, 2012 in Camp Hill, PA. Born August 23, 1916 in Jersey City, NJ, he was a son of the late Pasquale and Mary Lauria Balbo. Sonny served in the US Navy as Aviation Metalsmith during WWII. He was employed as a truck driver by Rheingold Brewing Company in Orange, NJ. Sonny loved to play bingo.

He is survived by his companion, Helen Scott DePerto; his daughter, Mary Savulich and husband Ken; grandsons Kenny and Dylan Savulich; his brother, Patrick “Buddy” Balbo; and Helen’s family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Anthony Balbo and an infant grandson, CJ.
