Carolyn M. "Carol" Scott

Chambersburg

Carolyn M. “Carol” Scott, 85, of Chambersburg, PA, and formerly of Baltimore, MD, and Shippensburg, PA, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, August 26, 2025. She was born on June 19, 1940, in Chambersburg, PA, to the late Guy William Hock and Marie Lottie Myers.

Carol attended Chambersburg Area Senior High School. She previously attended Chambersburg Church of the Brethren and most recently attended Life Point Church in Chambersburg, PA. Throughout her life, Carol was employed by Cherry Lane Dairy, Stanley Co., Georgios Restaurant, Pizza House, and Ollies, to name a few.

She is survived by her partner, Henry David Truax; daughters, Dodie T. Noel (Richard Gochenour) of Ft. Loudon, PA, and Kimberly M. Scott (fiancé Matthew Norcross) of Chambersburg; four grandchildren, Rebeca Spriggs (Darnell); Dominique Terrazas (Walter Harris, III); Rhiannah Hepfer (Kyle Donahue); and James R. Hepfer IV, all of Chambersburg, PA; seven great-grandchildren, Lydell, Alexia, Lyshane, Malia, Sofia, Layla, and Zyir; sister, Joann (Hock) Crusey of Chambersburg, PA; sister-in-law, Joan (Coffey) Hock of Chambersburg, PA; aunt, Lena Myers of Hagerstown, MD; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Guy William Hock, Jr., in 2000.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Norland Cemetery in Chambersburg, PA, with Rev. Dr. A. Robert Cook officiating.

Carol’s family would like to thank the staff at Chambersburg Hospital for the wonderful care that she received during several recent stays. Although they cannot name everyone, Carol did especially appreciate Gladys, a nurse extern, and Drew, an RN. They, along with others, brightened her time there.
