Cody D. Shearer, 35, of Chambersburg, PA, found eternal peace on April 22nd, 2026 in his home surrounded by the love of his family. He was born April 26th, 1990.
Cody was the devoted husband of Kayla (Cardwell) Shearer and proud father to Brayden, Lilianna, Arabella, and Cody, Jr. Shearer, which were all the lights of his life. Cody also shared a close bond with his brother Damion Shearer (Shelby) and was the son of Andrew and Nicole (Isenberger) Shearer. In addition, Cody departed from many other family and friends whom he loved deeply.
Cody had a generous heart and a knack for making everyone laugh. He was known for his big personality and unwavering dedication to those he cared for, along with his deep love for the Lord and staying resilience even in his final days. Cody possessed a fun outgoing nature with an uncanny ability to connect to just about anyone. Cody’s presence will be sorely missed.
Being a man of tradition, holidays with family were among his favorite times; he especially looked forward to July 4th where he and his brother would have showdowns on the grill to see who could make the better steak and by ending the night with lighting up the sky. Cody loved the outdoors and was very much a fire enthusiast; finding nothing more relaxing than a good campfire. He was also a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan where his deep-rooted loyalty and resilience was often put to the test, he still remained steadfast.
Cody’s legacy of loyalty, laughter, and love will be carried on by those who knew and adored him. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA.
At last, to honor Cody’s life, may we all do an unexpected and unsolicited act of kindness in his name.
Always loved, never forgotten, and forever missed.
