Corinne Eileen Greenawalt, age 80 of Chambersburg, PA went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, June27, 2024, at Magnolia’s of Chambersburg. Born May 2, 1944, in Ashland, PA, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Evelyn Donath Miller.
Mrs. Greenawalt was a 1962 graduate of the former Ashland Area Joint High School. She was a fulltime homemaker for much of her life while raising her children and later worked as a secretary for over 15 years at the former Scotland School for Veteran’s Children, where she retired in 2009. In retirement, she worked at Wal-Mart until 2014. Mrs. Greenawalt enjoyed reading, church, her family, and Bible study.
She is survived by six children – Cristine Watkins, Cynthia Keller, Holly Zimmerman as well as Jon, James, and Jason Greenawalt; eleven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two siblings, Jule Miller and Glen Miller. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Henry “Hank” Greenawalt, Jr. and two siblings, Raymond Miller and Brenda Hand.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, July 1, 2024, at 4 PM in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Inc. 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA, where Chaplain Tim Brown will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment will be in Ft. Indiantown Gap National Cemetery on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at 10 AM. Online condolences maybe expressed on her page at www.geiselfuneralhome.com.
