Dianne Rhoades

Dianne Rhoades, 78, a resident at The Quarters at Shook Home in Chambersburg, PA and formerly of Ashland, PA, passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Mercy House of Chambersburg. Born October 5, 1946 in Ashland, she was a daughter of the late Thomas D. and Blanche M. Snyder Rhoades.

Dianne lived a life marked by quiet strength, kindness, and a deep love for her family. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert F. Rhoades Jr., who passed in 2011. Together, they built a loving home and raised three children: Robert F. Rhoades III and his wife Helen of Severn, MD; Scott Rhoades of Chambersburg, PA; and Angela (Rhoades) Arnold and her husband Richard of York, PA.

Dianne adored being “Grammy” to her two grandsons, Colin and Liam Arnold, and treasured every moment spent with them. She also leaves behind her brother, Barry Price, and many extended family members and friends who loved her dearly.

She spent much of her career as a dedicated medical office manager, where she brought compassion to her work. Outside of her profession, she found joy in the simple pleasures of life: tending her flower garden, stitching together warmth and beauty through quilting, searching for hidden treasures at yard sales, and sharing board games and laughter with her loved ones.

Her gentle spirit, sense of humor, and deep devotion to her family will be missed more than words can express.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM on Friday, June 6, 2025, at the Thomas L Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202. At 2:00 PM, following the visitation, there will be a time for sharing and reflection led by Rev. John Melhorn.
