Donald Engle

Donald LeRoy Engle, age 65, of Scotland, PA, chose Heaven on Thursday, March 22, 2012 in the Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. Born on June 30, 1946 in Barrelville, MD, he was a son of the late Harry G. and Grace M. (Walker) Engle.
Don was employed with Cumberland Valley Tree Service for over 30 years. He was a member of Freedom in Christ Church, where he served as an ordained minister, and some of his interests included hunting and fishing. He will be greatly missed by his loved ones, who include his wife of 45 years, Diane (Dickel) Engle, whom he married on August 10, 1966; three children, Patricia Engle-Webster (and husband, Frank Webster III), Brian Engle (and wife, Christina), all of Fayetteville and Denise Engle of Scotland; four grandchildren, Jessica (Sites) Daywalt (and husband, Joe), Kelsey Engle and Luke Webster, all of Fayetteville, and Heather Sites of Richmond, IN; two great grandchildren, Savannah Daywalt and Varen Sites; two brothers, Robert G. Engle (and wife, Nancy) of LaVale, MD and David P. Engle (and wife, Sandy) of Barrelville, MD; one sister, Carol Abernathy (and husband, Dan) of Cumberland, MD; and his many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Friday, March 30, at the Freedom in Christ Church, 3972 Sycamore Grove Road, Chambersburg, with Pastor John Pogue officiating. The family will receive friends from 7-9 PM on Thursday in the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, and also one hour prior to the service in the church on Friday. Refreshments at the church will follow the interment at Norland Cemetery on Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to Freedom in Christ Church at the above address.
