Donna J. "Jean" Gindlesperger

Donna J. “Jean” Gindlesperger, 91, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at Mercy House of Chambersburg. She was born on April 18, 1934, in Windber, PA to the late William Kenneth and Mary (Rininger) Koontz

Jean was a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania, earning her degree in Elementary Education. After graduating, she taught elementary school in California, New Franklin, and Marion Elementary Schools. She was a member at Chambersburg Church of the Brethren and was in involved in the Helping Hands Circle group at the church. Jean was also a part of the local Loving Hearts widows group. In her free time, she enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughter Connie Gindlesperger of Chambersburg, PA; daughter-in-law Roberta Ann “Bobbie” Gindlesperger of Chambersburg, PA; Grandchildren Cory Gindlesperger and his wife Ashley of Ocean City, MD; Holly Friese and her husband Andrew of Chambersburg, PA; April Kauffman and her husband Brandon of Chambersburg, PA; great grandchildren Brooke, Chase, Easton, Belle, and Cruze; brothers William Koontz and his wife Connie of Waynesboro, PA; Ed Koontz and his wife Linda of Windber, PA.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Fred C. Gindlesperger, Sr., son Fred C. Gindlesperger, Jr., and a sister.
