Esther Cromer

Esther Cromer, 89, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at her home. She was born on February 22, 1937, in Chambersburg, PA to the late Grant G. and Mabel (Brown) Humwood.

Esther was a homemaker and a member of Air Hill United Brethren in Christ Church in Chambersburg, PA.

She is survived by three sons Fred H. Guyer, Jr. (Susie) of Chambersburg, PA; Michael S. Guyer of Chambersburg, PA; Chester W. Guyer (Michele) of Williamsburg, VA; 7 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; sister Joyce Garber (Dan) of Chambersburg, PA. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband Fred H. Guyer, Sr., second husband Reed “Bud” Cromer, and brother Charles Humwood, Sr.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 25, 2026, at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202 with Pastor Peter Emig officiating. Burial will follow in Norland Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday, from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
