Mrs. Faye B. (Barton) Hann, 94, of Chambersburg, PA passed away, Friday, September 19, 2025 in Shippensburg Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. Born March 19, 1931 in Crystal Spring, PA she was the daughter of the late Ross J. and Marden E. (Bard) Barton.
In her early life, Faye worked as a hand sewer for the Stanley Company, Chambersburg for 19 years. She was later employed as a hand sorter for James River Corporation, Chambersburg formerly American Can Company. She retired after 17 years with the company.
Faye was a faithful member of Mount Pleasant United Brethren Church where she was part of the Kings Sons & Daughters Class. She was also a member of the Chambersburg Mall Walkers Club, AARP, and an auxiliary life member of the VFW Post 1599, Chambersburg. She was a talented painter and also sang with the Mill Creek Trio for a number of years performing at different nursing homes in the area. She and her husband also enjoyed traveling in the RV all over the country.
She is survived by her husband of 76 years, Walter R. Hann, whom she married September 17, 1949; three sons, Timothy W. Hann (Diane) of McConnellsburg, PA, Joey E. Hann (Patti) of Chambersburg, PA, and Thomas R. Hann of Fayetteville, PA; three grandchildren, Jason W. Hann (Amy), Rachel E. Meczywor (Bryson), and Ian J. Hann; five great-grandchildren, Lexia Hann, Addison Mae Hann, Jacob Hann, Jackson Meczywor and Henley Meczywor; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a grandson, Benjamin T. Hann and six siblings, Wayne Barton, Dorothy Fowler, Marjorie Palmer, Robert Barton, Vera Koser, and Clyde Barton.
Services will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, September 25, 2025, in Mt. Pleasant United Brethren Church, 2509 Black Gap Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202 with Pastor Jim Bolich and Pastor Bobby Culler officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Chambersburg. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Thursday morning in the church.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
