Floyd R. Reiley, 93, of Chambersburg, passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2024 with his family by his side. Born January 16, 1931 in Chambersburg, he was a son of the late Fred W. and Laura A. Davis Reiley.
Floyd started his career at the Thomas Pretzel Company in Chambersburg. He was employed in sales and as a Manager with Gibbles Potato Chips until his retirement in 1996. Floyd was a very active and involved member of Bethel Assembly of God in Chambersburg where he was a member of the Church Board, served with hospital and home visits, taught Sunday school, and served in various other capacities. A true family man, he was a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Peggy McNew Reiley, whom he married on December 24, 1953; three daughters, Karen Cornett (Richard) of Chambersburg, Debra Kline (Randall) of Madison, AL, and Lisa Deaven (Marlin) of Orrstown; nine grandchildren, Benjamin Summers (Misty) of Chambersburg, Jamie Gearhart (Tyler) of Fayetteville, Christopher Kline of Madison, AL, Cody Small (Karley) of Chambersburg, Brandi Hollinshead (Steven) of Mont Alto, Justin Cornett (Melissa) of St. Thomas, Jennifer Geyer (Dustin) of Chambersburg, Brianne Kline of Madison, AL, and Michalla Crouse (Jordan) of Chambersburg; and twelve great grandchildren. Aside from his parents, Floyd was preceded in death by two siblings, Earl Reiley and Doris Stoner.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, July 22, 2024 in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202. Rev. Garry Kipe will officiate. Interment will follow the service in Lincoln Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Assembly of God, 400 Miller Street, Chambersburg, PA 17201. Condolences and memories may be shared at geiselfuneralhome.com.
