Fredrick Morris

Fredrick Lee “Fred” Morris age 68 of Chambersburg, PA passed away on Friday, August 25, 2023, surrounded by his family. Fred was born in Maple Avenue Hospital in DuBois, PA on December 8, 1954, the son of the late Harry Alfred Morris and the late Doris Maxine Archibald Morris of Corsica, PA.
Fred grew up in Falls Creek, PA and was a graduate of JeffTech, class of 73. He was a self-employed plumber by trade, as was his father before him. Fred also sat on the Advisory Committee at Franklin County Career Tech. An avid outdoorsman, Fred enjoyed fishing and hunting, however he cherished time with his family, friends, and especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his children, Melissa Forrest (Mark), Crystal Morris, and their mother, Sandy Bish Becker of Corsica, PA and Cory Oberlin (Courtney), Racheal Morris (Tyler), and Leah Morris (Jeremy) and their mother, Tracy Lyle Morris of Chambersburg PA; he was also the proud pop-pop, to Kira, Rhys, Mason, Jase, and Kaylie. He is also survived by his siblings: Pamela Price (George), Rodney Morris (Ellen), Mark Morris (Linda), Liz Say (Evan), Debbie Gray (Bob), Paula Genevro (Michael), and numerous nieces and nephews who dearly loved their Uncle Fred.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at 10 AM in the Chapel of Thomas l. Geisel Funeral Home, Inc., 333 Falling Spring Rd., Chambersburg, PA. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, from 6 – 9 PM and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday in the funeral home above.
A Celebration of Life will also be held 2:00 PM, Sunday, September 24, 2023 in Pisgah Presbyterian Church, 36 Church St, Corsica, PA 15829.
Interment will be private. The family will also host a celebration of life service in Corsica, PA at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the American Heart Association, 4250 Crums Mill Road, Suite 100, Harrisburg, PA 17112 or www.heart.org.
