Gary L. Stevens, Sr., 70, of Chambersburg, passed away on December 19, 2022. Born August 20, 1952 in Chambersburg, he was the son of the late Charles and Betty Jane Baer Stevens.
Gary worked as an auto mechanic in his earlier years and later at Ingersoll Rand. In his later years he privately hauled FEMA trailers. He loved to hunt, fish and go to church. He was a member of the Chambersburg Seventh-day Adventist Church. His family, friends and church family were the light of his life.
He is survived by his son Gary L. Stevens, Jr. of Chambersburg; daughter, Carmalita Stevens of Shippensburg; one grandson, Jordan Michael Stevens; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 5:00 PM on Monday, January 2, 2023 at the Chambersburg Seventh-day Adventist Church, 160 E. Liberty Street, Chambersburg, PA 17201. Pastor Preston Monterrey-Clark will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA.
