George Schuler

George D. Schuler of Waynesboro, PA, passed away after a lengthy illness with his family by his side on February 13, 2023. George was born on March 20, 1946 in South Bend, IN to Frances and John Schuler. He grew up in New Carlisle, IN and attended St. Joseph’s High School in South Bend and Michigan State University in East Lansing, MI. George was a United States Air Force Veteran having served two tours in Vietnam and three tours in Iraq. He was awarded a Bronze Star and several certificates. He later retired from the Department of Defense after forty years of service to his country. His life was wrapped around family and country. While on assignment in England he and his loving wife and children volunteered on base.'

George is survived by his wife Rebecca, daughters Katrina and Tawnya, sons Jason and Stephen, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by sisters Frances and Kathryn, and his brother, John. In addition to his parents, Frances and John, he was preceded in death by brothers Walt and Thomas. George will always be in our hearts and minds.
