Gerald Wildeson

Gerald R. Wildeson, 87, of Chambersburg, PA passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2023 in his home. Born December 1, 1935 in Chambersburg he was the son of the late Roy R. and Nettie V. (Stull) Wildeson.

He was a graduate of Chambersburg High School with the Class of 1954. Gerald then went on to obtain his business degree from Hagerstown Business School. He was employed as an accountant for Valley Quarries, Inc. retiring in 2001 after 37 years with the company.

Gerald was a member of Chambersburg Bible Church. He was actively involved in Child Evangelism Fellowship, was a Good News Camp counselor and helped with Bible Release Time of Fulton County. Gerald continued his education by taking Bible Classes over the years. He enjoyed beef cattle farming, gardening, and reading.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, RoseAnn (Furry) Wildeson; four children, April Rife and her husband Eldon of Chambersburg, Patrick Wildeson of Greencastle, PA, Paula Avery and her husband Timothy of Frederick, MD and Stephanie Rhoades and her husband Rick of Shippensburg, PA; eight grandchildren, Collin and Garrett Rife, Pierce and Anna Wildeson, Carrie Barnhart, Dillon and Sarah Russell, and Blake Rhoades; nine great-grandchildren; and two brothers Glenn Wildeson and J. Rodger Wildeson.

Services will be held 10:00 AM, Friday, July 28, 2023 at Chambersburg Bible Church, 810 Orchard Drive, Chambersburg, PA 17201 with Brother Steve Trostle and Dr. George Rundle officiating. Burial will follow at Grindstone Hill Cemetery, Chambersburg.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202 as well as one hour prior to the service Friday morning in the church.
