Glenn E. Rowe, 80, of Fayetteville, PA passed away Saturday, December 17, 2022 in his home surrounded by his family. Born December 24, 1941 in Chambersburg, he was the son of the late Wayne B. and Gladys P. (Swope) Rowe.
He attended Chambersburg Area Schools. Glenn served with the United States Air Force until his honorable discharge February 20, 1961. He was employed for Pennsylvania Department of Transportation as an equipment operator. He retired in 1995 after 27 years of employment.
Glenn was a member of Mountain Top Ministries, Orrtanna, PA; a charter member of the Fayetteville Volunteer Fire Company; Franklin Fire Company Station 4; South Mountain Fish and Game Club; PARSE Retirement Group; and the NRA. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, decorating his house for Christmas, and most of all spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, Betty (Carty) Rowe who he married January 27, 1963; three children, Glenn E. Rowe, II and his wife Ginger, Crystal D. Fisher, and Rodney A. Rowe and his wife Joyce; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Wayne Rowe. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Sarah Rowe; son-in-law, Keith Fisher; and two sisters, Laura Wishard and Joretta Wile.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 27, 2022 in Mountain Top Ministries, 200 Church Road, Orrtanna, PA 17353.
In lieu of flowers a memorial contribution may be made to Mountain Top Ministries at the above address.
