Glenn O Stoops

Glenn O. Stoops, 80, of Pond Bank, PA, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2025, surrounded by his family. Born October 2, 1945, in Pond Bank, he was the son of the late Orville and Reba (Bumbaugh) Stoops.

Glenn was a devoted Christian who cherished his faith. He was a faithful servant of the Pond Bank Independent Church where he served in many different positions for many years. When not helping at the church, Glenn enjoyed spending time with his family and always thinking of a joke to tell someone who will listen. He worked for the former Frick Company of Waynesboro, PA for 47 1/2 years.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Elsie M. (Cordell) Stoops, whom he married September 5, 1970; two sons, Paul, of Chambersburg, and Dale (Lori) of Brisbin, PA. He will be forever cherished and remembered by his seven grandchildren, Brandon (Qirsten), Briauna (Dallas), Tucker, Terah (Logen), Trey, Madelynn and Olivia; and three great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Braxton and Leeam. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, five sisters, one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at 1:00 PM, in the Chapel of the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA, where his son, Pastor Dale Stoops will officiate. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service in the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pond Bank Independent Church, 6704 White Rock Rd., Chambersburg, PA 17202.
