Gloria D. Weagly, 69, of Shippensburg, PA passed away surrounded by her family Friday, February 20, 2026 in the Chambersburg Hospital. Born May 27, 1956 in Philadelphia, PA she was the daughter of Darlene Woy of Chambersburg, PA.

She was a graduate of the Chambersburg Area Senior High School with the Class of 1974. Gloria then started her career at Wilson College during the early 1980s; from there she was employed by Ketron Inc., Carlisle, PA for a number of years. Gloria then began her employment with the Chambersburg Area School District as the administrative assistant to the principal at the Chambersburg Area Senior High School. She retired on November 1, 2025 after 31 years of dedicated service.

Gloria enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and camping and boating on Lake Raystown. In her younger years she enjoyed bowling and traveling to National Bowling events. Gloria was an active member and volunteer of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #2500, Shippensburg, PA in which she held high ranking leadership positions and achievements of the last 30 years. She was appointed President of the Women’s International Higher Degrees Board in May 2025, by Moose International.

Gloria will be remembered as a selfless, caring, and kind person who was always putting others before herself. She was always two steps ahead no matter what the situation. She was the biggest fan of Chambersburg Trojans sports and marching band, and many students and faculty held a special place in her heart.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 48 years, David E. Weagly; a son, Matthew Weagly and his wife Jennifer of Chambersburg; two grandchildren Payton Baker and Makayla Baker both of Chambersburg; two siblings, Angelia Miller and her companion Tony Panaia of Greencastle, PA and Kevin Woy and his wife Colleen of Chambersburg; a sister-in-law, Martha Woy of Fayetteville, PA; and a number of nieces and nephews. Gloria is preceded in death by her brother, Douglas Woy.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM, Saturday, February 28, 2026 in the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202. A ceremony conducted by members of the Women of the Moose will begin at 5:00 PM following the visitation in the funeral home.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family in Parklawns Memorial Gardens.
