Harry E. Frankhouser, Jr., 78, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Monday, December 22, 2025, at WellSpan Chambersburg Hospital. He was born on November 3, 1947, in Uniontown, PA to the late Harry E., Sr. and Margaret M. (Sprusansky) Frankhouser.
Harry was a graduate of St. John’s Catholic School in Uniontown, PA and then went on to attend St. Vincent College in Latrobe, PA where he earned his bachelor’s degree in political science. He was employed by Letterkenny Army Depot as a Systems Analyst until his retirement and then was employed by CSC for 10 years. He was a past president of Guilford Little League and coached baseball, softball, and basketball at various levels throughout his life. In his retirement, he enjoyed going to train shows, supporting local animal shelters, and watching his grandchildren play sports.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Linda (Harner) Frankhouser of Chambersburg, PA; children Holly Mathieu (Victor) of Westminster, MD; Heidi Lebitz (Bruce) of Shippensburg, PA; Eric Frankhouser (Lisa-Marie) of Chambersburg, PA; grandchildren Rafael, Olivia, Zachary, Brienne, and Hailey; and a brother Severin Frankhouser of Erie, PA.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202 with Pastor John Semple officiating. Burial will be held on Friday, January 2, 2026, at 11:00 AM in Greenlawn Memorial Park, 127 Britner Avenue, Williamsport, MD 21795. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday, from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
