Iris Masters

July 8, 1942 — December 3, 2022

Charlotte Masters, age 80, of Fayetteville, PA went to be with her heavenly father on Saturday afternoon December 3, 2022. Born on July 8, 1942 to Erwin Meyhoefer and Mina Kloepfer in Brooklyn New York. She was the sister to Helmuth Meyhoefer, Eric Meyhoefer, William Meyhoefer and Robert Meyhoefer. She is survived by her husband Edward Masters, daughters Kim Radha (Harish Radha) and Beth Marosy (Mike Marosy) and grandchildren Alex Radha, Emily Radha, Madison Marosy and Benjamin Marosy.

Iris graduated from Erasmus Hall High School in Brooklyn, NY and was a member of the Lenox Road Baptist Church with her family. She sang in the choir and taught Sunday school. This is where she met Edward. She attended airline school and worked as a secretary in the Manhattan NY office for KLM Royal Dutch Airlines. She lived in NY until she married Edward in 1964. They then moved to Annapolis, MD where she worked at the Anne Arundel County Board of Education in Annapolis until Kim was born. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Edgewater. They later moved to Kettering MD in 1970 when Beth was born. Iris worked for a physician’s office as a receptionist for 15 years. She was always involved in something, whether it was singing in the choir, going to Bible camp, school activities, Girl Scouts, Women’s Bible group or bowling with her club. They resided in Maryland until 1997, after which Edward retired and they moved to Chambersburg, PA. Iris loved to sew and learned to quilt. She was a member of the Penn Needles Quilt Group and the Chambersburg Quilt Guild, and taught quilting classes at the local quilt store. She also loved to garden and became a Master Gardener for the Franklin County Penn State Extension office. She was a long-time attendee of the Calvary United Methodist Church in Fayetteville, PA. Mom was a beautiful person, she loved the Lord, was devoted to her family and a friend to many. She always made you feel at home when you came to visit her. She was a jokester, always full of laughter and would always make the best of any situation. She loved going to the beach in St. Augustine. She loved shopping, would easily find what looked good on you and always a bargain. We love you Mom!
