Henry, a resident of Laurel Lakes Rehabilitation and Wellness Center in Chambersburg, and formerly of St. Thomas, PA, passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2024.  Born February 22, 1932 in Clear Ridge, PA, he was the son of the late Madeline Henry Divens and was raised with the help of his late step-father, Wallace Divens.

A United States Air Force Veteran, Jack honorably served his country during the Korean Conflict from 1953 to 1957.  Following his Military service, he was employed as a laborer at Knouse Foods in Chambersburg.  One of the kindest and gentlest souls you would have ever had the pleasure of meeting, Jack enjoyed leather working, cooking in his crockpot and listening to music and audiobooks.  He was a member of an organization he held dearly in his heart; the Pennsylvania Association for the Blind.

Jack is survived by his sister, Marilyn Yaukey and niece, Denise Heinbaugh, husband, Dennis of Chambersburg. He is also survived by 4 great nieces and 2 great nephews, all of Chambersburg.   He was preceded in death by his parents, Madeline and Wallace Divens of St. Thomas, PA.; and brother, Rodger Divens.

Inurnment services in Parklawns Memorial Gardens will be private.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jack’s memory to the Pennsylvania Association for the Blind, 105 N Front Street #106, Harrisburg, PA 17101.
