Jill M. Strausbaugh Whorley, 46, of Chambersburg, PA passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2024 in the York Hospital, York, PA. Born September 7, 1977 in York she was the daughter of John and Judy Guise Strausbaugh of Dover, PA.
She was a graduate of Dover High School. Jill then went on to obtain her bachelor’s degree in marketing from Penn State University in December of 2001. She was employed for Re/Max Realty, Chambersburg for 20 years. Jill also was employed part-time as a sales associate at Kohl’s in Chambersburg for the past three years.
Jill attended King Street Church with her family. She was a Girl Scout Leader for a number of years. Jill enjoyed reading, listening to all types of music, and cheering on the Buffalo Bills. She was a devoted and loving wife and mother. She could be found supporting her children at their many sporting events.
In addition to her parents she is survived by her husband of 20 years, Scott A. Whorley who she married May 3, 2003; two children, Konner A. Whorley and Lyla G. Whorley both at home; a brother, James M. Strausbaugh and his wife Melissa of Georgia; maternal grandmother, Anna Catherine Guise of York, PA; her father and mother-in-law, Craig and Loraine Whorley of Chambersburg; two brother-in-laws; two sister-in-laws; seven nephews; and two nieces. She is preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Kenneth J. Guise.
A memorial service will be held 10:30 AM, Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at King Street Church, 162 E. King Street, Chambersburg, PA 17201 with Pastor Rob Gunkelman officiating. Arrangements are by Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Tuesday morning in the church.
Jill touched and impacted the lives of everyone she met. In her passing, as a selfless and gracious Gift of Life Donor she was able to save the lives of at least five transplant recipients.
