JoAnn Marie Miller, 75, of Waynesboro, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 31, 2026, at York Hospital.
Born September 5, 1950, in Waynesboro, PA, she was the beloved daughter of the late Harry Besecker and Mary (McKean) Buhrman.
JoAnn was a dedicated and hardworking woman who held a variety of positions throughout her working years. She found joy in life's simple pleasures and enjoyed working puzzles, playing bingo, making Easter candy, playing games on her phone, crafting, and scrapbooking with her daughters. An avid animal lover, she had a special place in her heart for all creatures. Above all else, JoAnn cherished her family and treasured every opportunity to spend time with those she loved. She really enjoyed the family beach visits.
She is survived by her loving husband, Andy Miller; her children, Michelle Cordell (Robert) of Waynesboro, Melanie Walter of Waynesboro, Robert Kling III (Erin) of Cranberry Township, PA, Sara Boyd of Waynesboro, and Joshua Swope (Courtney) of Waynesboro; her grandchildren, Alyssa, Keisha, Justin, Becca, Emma, Evan, Bella, Charlie, Zackary, and Zaylee; and her great-grandchildren, Jayce, Ryder, and Lincoln.
In addition to her parents, JoAnn was preceded in death by her siblings, Lois Rosenberry, Maxine Mentzer, Dorothy Harmon, Emma Crumbacker, and Curtis Besecker.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
JoAnn's kindness, love, and devotion to her family will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
