Josie L. Bock, 59, of Fannettsburg, PA, passed away Thursday, August 18, 2022 at her home. Born November 17, 1962 in McConnellsburg, she was a daughter of Phyllis Johnson Hockenberry and the late Myles E. Hockenberry. Josie was a 1980 graduate of the Fannett-Metal High School and the Penn State School of Nursing. A Registered Nurse, she had been employed briefly in the Obstetrics Department at the Fulton County Medical Center and then for many years as a Labor and Delivery nurse at Chambersburg Hospital prior to her retirement in 2022. She was a member of the Spring Run United Methodist Church where she at one time sang with the choir. She was also a member of the American Legion Post 606 Ladies Auxiliary and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She loved genealogy and was a long-time member of the Franklin County Historical Society. Josie loved her cats and enjoyed reading, gardening, cooking, and baking.
She is survived by her husband, Michael A. Bock, whom she married on August 8, 1987; three children, Emily L. Bock of Philadelphia, Myles W. Bock of Littleton, CO, and Michael S. Bock of Fannettsburg; and two sisters, Carmie L. Burdge (Steve) of Amberson and Pennie Hockenberry (Allison Beck) of Hummelstown.
At Josie’s request there will be no service.
