Karen Wentz

Karen Y. Wentz, 76, of Chambersburg, PA passed onto her Heavenly Home on Thursday, June 29, 2023 from the Select Specialty Hospital of Holy Spirit Medical Center, Camp Hill, PA. Born October 5, 1946 in Fort Knox, KY, she was the daughter of the late Col. Hugh F. and Ida Virginia (Snider) Young.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Edward N. Wentz; a sister, Virginia Leback of Shoreline, WA; daughters, Elizabeth D. Bunch of Amherst, NY and Rebecca C. Bumpas of Havertown, PA; sons-in-law, Mark W. Bunch and Jonathan J. Bumpas; grandchildren, Nyah Walter and Pacey Walter; step-grandchildren, Michael Bunch, Matthew Bunch, Nathan Bumpas and Julia Bumpas; sister-in-law, Gayle Young; nephews, Trey Young and Cameron Young; and nieces, Lucy Williams and Lily Young.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Hugh F. Young, Jr. and her infant granddaughter, Lily Wren Bumpas.

The gathering will be the 5th day of August, 2023 at First United Methodist Church, 225 S. Second St. Chambersburg, PA. Karen’s family invites all to join them in a celebration that begins at 10:00 AM with fellowship and music, followed at 11:00 AM with the service, and then a light luncheon.
