Kathleen Hurden

May 3, 1958 — November 13, 2025

Upper Strasburg

Kathleen Hurden, 67, of Upper Strasburg, PA passed away Thursday, November 13, 2025, in her home surrounded by her children. Born May 3, 1958, in Pompton Plains, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Robert A. and Agnes C. (Butler) Dalrymple.

She was a graduate of Paul IV Regional High School with the Class of 1976. Kathy was employed as the lending center manager for Patriot Federal Credit Union for the past 27 years. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Shade Gap, PA. Kathy was also a member of ABATE Keystone Chapter 56, Saxton Sportsmen Association, Saxton, PA, and the Eagles Club 4274, Harrisonville, PA.

Kathy was a proud and dedicated mother to her four children. She made sure they were loved and guided through the good times and bad. She was also a proud grandmother of seven; she enjoyed spending time with them, talking to them about their days, listening to their stories about their sporting events, and giving back scratches and warm hugs.

Kathy was a one-of-a-kind, kindhearted person who would do anything for anyone. She would support and encourage people through their struggles. She never asked for anything in return and did not like being the center of attention. Her smile and laugh were contagious and unforgettable. Kathy has touched the lives of many including family, friends, co-workers, and members of the organizations she was part of throughout her life.

She is survived by her companion of 25 years, Jeffrey Crouse; three children, Erin N. Alford (Derrick) of Stafford, VA, Steven G. Hurden, Jr. of Upper Strasburg, PA, and Samantha R. Hurden of Chambersburg, PA; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three siblings, Sarah Dalrymple and Robert Dalrymple both of North Carolina and Eileen Lanuto of Florida; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Kyle E. Hurden and two siblings, Lawrence Dalrymple and Carol Ann Van Valkenburgh.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg, PA.
