Lee Wayne VanTine, 80, of Greencastle, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, MD. Born on April 14, 1946, in California, he was the son of the late Oscar and Ray VanTine.

Lee devoted his entire professional career to the computer field, working as a software engineer. He had a lifelong passion for computers and technology and was always enthusiastic about learning and discussing the latest advancements. Though quiet and reserved by nature, Lee possessed a gentle spirit and a steady presence that brought comfort to those around him. He had a quick wit and a tremendous sense of humor. Above all else, he treasured time spent with his family and the memories they created together.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Diane L. (Goodman) VanTine of Greencastle, PA; his son, Lee Wayne VanTine II and wife, Kristi, of Shelby, NC; his daughter, Katrina Wolfe and husband, Wesley, of Fairfield, PA; and his cherished grandchildren, Lee III, Makinna, and Gage.

Although he will be deeply missed, Lee's gentle nature, unwavering love for his family, and quiet strength will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, Lee was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Rachel.

In honoring Lee's wishes, there will be no visitation. Services are private.
