Marie Eleanor Knepper

Marie E. Knepper, 79, of Chambersburg, passed away on Friday, January 30, 2026, at the Chambersburg Hospital. Born December 6, 1946, in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late Everett and Viola Beam Wagner. Her beloved husband, Arthur J. “Sonny” Knepper, whom she married on October 17, 1964, preceded her in death on September 11, 2024.

Marie was employed at the Stanley Co. in Chambersburg as a press operator. She also looked after children in her home for many family members and friends. Marie was a member of New Franklin Assembly of God. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, animals, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Kevin Knepper and wife Bobbie of Chambersburg; two grandchildren, Steven Frazier and wife Jodi and Taylor Knepper; six great grandchildren, Jasmine, Brock, Titus, Canaan, Eleanor and Savanna Frazier; two sisters, Janice Shipley of Chambersburg, and Gladys Kauffman of Shippensburg. Aside from her parents and husband, Marie was preceded in death by her daughter Cathy Frazier; and four siblings, Harold Wagner, Dorothy Deardorff, Delores Shatzer, and Louise Deardorff.

A memorial service will be held at 5:00 PM on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at New Franklin Assembly of God, 2355 New Franklin Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202. Rev. Nathaniel Knoll will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Inc., Chambersburg, PA.
