Marlene S. Fisher, 92, of Chambersburg, PA passed away Monday, January 12, 2026 in Magnolias of Chambersburg where she had resided for the last year. Born March 6, 1933 in Chambersburg she was the daughter of the late John E. and Mary E. (Stepler) Shatzer.
She was a graduate of the Chambersburg High School with the Class of 1951. Marlene was employed as a clerk for Letterkenny Army Depot. She retired in 1988 after 25 years of service on the depot.
Marlene was a faithful member of Scotland Fellowship Church. She was also a member of National AARP and NARFE. Marlene loved spending time with her family and the 17 winters she and her husband spent in Sebring, FL.
She is survived by a son, Lynn A. Fisher (Lynette) of Chambersburg, PA; five grandchildren, Nicholas Fisher (Shannon) of Stephens City, VA, Jason Fisher (Jackie) of Fayetteville, PA, Erik Fisher (Andrea) of Stephens City, VA, Jared Fisher (Jerome Cookson) of Alexandria, VA, and Janelle Barkman (Travis) of Chambersburg, PA; eight great grandchildren, Dilynn and Alyssa Fisher, Lane and Laikyn Fisher, Brooklynn and Isabella Barkman, and Claire and Grayson Fisher; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond L. Fisher who passed away, June 14, 2013; a son, Gary L. Fisher; and five siblings Peggy Shatzer, Nancy Rife, Saundra Perry, Jack Shatzer and Donald Shatzer.
Services will be held 1:00 PM, Friday, January 16, 2026 in the Chapel of the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17202 with Pastor Bill Smith and Rev. Renata Moseley-Harper officiating. Burial will follow in Norland Cemetery, Chambersburg.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Friday afternoon in the funeral home.
