Neil C. Cline, 72, of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 11, 2026, with his loving wife by his side.

Born on April 23, 1954, in Chambersburg, Neil was the son of the late Helen Joanne Cline and grandson of the late Dorothy M. Cline. He was a 1972 graduate of Chambersburg Area Senior High School, where he lettered in football, basketball, and baseball. He later earned a degree in Business Administration and Accounting from Shippensburg University in 1976.

Neil dedicated more than 33 years of service to Letterkenny Army Depot, working with U.S. Army Audit, DESCOM, and SIMA before retiring in 2010 as Chief of the Industrial Systems Office. He was a hardworking, dependable man who took great pride in providing for his family.

Outside of work, Neil loved spending time on the ball field coaching and supporting his children and grandchildren. Some of his happiest moments were spent at practices, games, and family gatherings. He especially enjoyed traveling and making memories with his family. Being a husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather meant everything to him.

Neil will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Deborah (Schwarz) Cline of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania; his children, Cari Stevens of Wexford, Pennsylvania, Christina Erb of Carlisle, Pennsylvania, Angela Shaffer of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, Michael Grove of Port Charlotte, Florida, and Mark Grove of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania; his grandchildren, Rachael Fatz, Jenn Grove, Kelsey Grove, Grant Erb, Laura Erb, Lukas Stevens, and Hailee Stevens; and his great-granddaughter, Avery Fatz.

Those who knew Neil will remember him as a devoted family man who worked hard, loved deeply, and always put his family first.

In honoring Neil’s wishes, services and interment will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg, Pennsylvania.
