Nellie G. Gsell, age 90, of Chambersburg, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, in the Shook Home. Born on November 4, 1935, in Chambersburg, she was a daughter of the late Harry Shover and Bertie Sharar Shover. She was the widow of John W. Gsell, who preceded her in death on December 31, 2021.

A homemaker, Nellie and John enjoyed traveling the world. Some of their favorite places to visit were Aruba and Alaska.

She is survived by two daughters-in-law, Melita Gsell of Chambersburg and Kimberly Gsell of Fayetteville; grandsons, Damian A. Gsell (Wendy) of Fayetteville and Aaron L. Gsell (Nicole) of Chambersburg and Trapper Gsell (Amy) of Fayetteville; and great granddaughters, Addison and Linlee Gsell and Kaitlyn Socks. Also surviving are brothers, Lonnie Shover (Delores) of Fayetteville, Bill Shover of St. Thomas, David Shover (Peg) of Spring Run and Denny Shover (Judy) of Edenville; sisters Susan Heinbaugh of St. Thomas and Linda Hershey of Mercersburg. She was preceded in death by two sons, Dennis and Randy; sisters Mary Knable and Patsy Kuhn; and brothers Dick and Paul Shover. She will also be greatly missed by her beloved dog “Corky.”

Graveside services will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, January 23, 2026, in Lincoln Cemetery, Chambersburg, with Rev. Lonnie Shover officiating.
