Norma Appel

Norma S. Appel, age 88, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Friday, December 12, 2014 at the Menno Haven Nursing Center. Born September 21, 1926 in Ware, MA, she was the daughter of the late Frank O. and Helen Evans Stred.
A secretary, Mrs. Appel worked for the Department of Justice and then Letterkenny Army Depot until the birth of her son, where she became a homemaker.
Surviving is her son, Eric Clippinger of Waynesboro, PA, one granddaughter, Jessica Clippinger of Shippensburg, PA, great grandson, Jaden Mooney, and step-daughters, Marcy Kelley of The Villages, FL and Cindy Shackleton of Fuquay-Varina, NC. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Elden Appel in 2008, a brother, Frank Stred, and a sister, Martha Diller.
Graveside services will be held at Lincoln Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA.
